Strong Thunderstorms Possible Wednesday Over Stark

| Strong thunderstorms are possible over Stark County Wednesday afternoon and evening according to the Storm Predictions Center. The center indicates a slight risk for all of Northern Ohio in advance of a cold front due to arrive Wednesday night. |
The Storm Prediction Center forecasts a slight risk for severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening for Northeast Ohio including Stark County.
Heat and humidity returns to Stark County Wednesday afternoon in advance of a cold front that will cross Northeast Ohio late Wednesday night. Temperatures will once again approach the 90 degree mark Wednesday afternoon and evening in the county. The warmer air also contains plenty of moisture which will make it feel much warmer than 90.
The approaching front will also bring the chance of strong to severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening. The Storm Predictions Center has placed Northern Ohio counties under a slight risk for the development of severe thunderstorms tomorrow. The primary threat from any developing thunderstorms will be locally damaging winds and hail. The storms could also bring periods of torrential rainfall causing some localized flooding.
A few thunderstorms could linger into Thursday morning with skies generally becoming clear by Thursday afternoon. Temperatures Thursday will be much cooler with highs around 80. It will also be much less humid Thursday and Friday.
Friday’s highs will be in the upper 70s under mostly clear skies.
Saturday is expected to bring another round of thunderstorms across the region. However, these storms are not expected to be severe.
