Warm, Muggy, and Stormy Sunday for Stark

Temperatures around 90 degrees with high humidity levels will make for a sticky Sunday in Stark County, Ohio. Thunderstorms move in during the afternoon hours followed by another round of thundery weather overnight.
It’s going to be a warm one today! Sunday’s temperatures around Stark County will be quite warm and uncomfortable during the afternoon hours Sunday. Most areas around the county will see temperatures reach close to or exceed 90 degrees. Along with the very warm temperatures will come increased humidity, making it feel very sticky and muggy.
Temperatures this morning are already in the 70s across most communities under mostly clear skies.
Some high level clouds will begin to filter in through the morning hours signaling the approach of thunderstorms that could develop over northeast Ohio this afternoon. We’ll have to keep a close eye on the skies today as thunderstorms develop to our west and move in over the region.
Some of the afternoon thunderstorms could become severe with damaging winds. The strongest thunderstorms could also produce large, quarter-size hail.
Another round of thunderstorms will develop late Sunday night into early Monday morning. These storms could also become quite strong with intense lightning and damaging wind gusts.
Make sure your weather radio is operating before heading off to bed tonight in the event these storms mature during the overnight hours.
The chance of thunderstorms across Stark County communities continues into Monday as a cold front crosses the region. Temps will be a little cooler Monday with highs in the mid 80s.
Temperatures for Tuesday and Wednesday will be much cooler with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Humidity levels will also become noticeably lower making for more pleasant weather conditions mid week.
