Winter Storm Watch Upgraded to Warning

| Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow is in effect for parts of Ohio including Stark County from noon Friday to noon Saturday. Communities within the county can expect up to 7 inches of snow from the storm which will arrive Friday and continue through Saturday. |
The winter storm watch for Stark County has been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning effective from noon Friday to noon Saturday. Storm could bring up to 7 inches of snow to the area by Saturday.
The National Weather Service forecast office in Cleveland has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow, which is in effect from noon Friday to noon Saturday.
The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
Snow will spread from south to north Friday afternoon and continue through the night into early Saturday morning. The snowfall Friday evening and overnight will be heavy at times. Total accumulations of 5 to 7 inches can be expected. The heaviest snow will pull out fairly quickly Saturday morning.
A Winter Storm Warning is issed when severe winter weather is expected. Heavy snow and/or ice will cause hazardous driving conditions. If you will be traveling in the warning area you should use extreme caution if travel is unavoidable.
