| Forecast Map for Tuesday Evening shows area of potentially heavy snowfall from a potent winter storm. The exact track of this new storm is in doubt, but the potential exists for 6 inches or more of new snow for Stark County Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. |
Another winter storm organizing over the Central Plains today will begin moving eastward toward Ohio has the potential to bring another significant snowfall to Stark County on Tuesday of this week.
Just as Stark County is digging out from over a foot of snow, forecasters are tracking what could be another potent winter storm with Northeast Ohio in its sights.
The exact amount of snow and the intensity of the storm will depend on how the storm tracks across the region. Some forecasting computer models continue to show the potent storm system moving into the lower Great Lakes. Obviously if this were to pan out, Stark County could be looking at potentially heavy snowfall and windy conditions.
It must be stressed that the exact track of the system is very much in doubt at this time. But the potential does exist for heavy, widespread snow over Northeast Ohio for Tuesday night into Wednesday. Stark County communities could see 6 inches or more of new snow by daybreak on Wednesday from this system.
Temperatures will remain below freezing through Tuesday, so any additional snowfall will only add to the existing snow pack already in place.
More exact details will be available as the storm system develops and the exact track becomes more clear.
