TODAY'S WEATHER STORY

Late evening Ohio weather story
national weather service wilmington oh
1020 pm edt fri sep 3 2010

A cold front moved to the east of the state this afternoon...leaving
in it`s wake cooler temperatures and some gusty winds. The skies
were partly sunny as a trough of low pressure was following the cold
front and dropping to the southeast.

The precipitation with the front was light as akron-Canton airport
recorded the most at thirty nine hundredths and and most station in
the south recording a trace. Also during the afternoon...before the
front passed across areas...the highs reached readings from the
middle 70s to the middle 80s.

Overnight there will be some clouds in the northwest from the
trough...with mostly clear skies across the rest of the state. A
northerly wind will usher in some cool temperatures...most of which
will be a bit cooler than normal for this time of the year...ranging
from the lower to middle 50s across the state by sunrise.

The clouds will remain over the north tomorrow with partly sunny
skies in the afternoon...while the southern region of the state will
have mostly sunny skies. The temperatures...still a bit lower than
normal with a northerly wind...will warm to readings in the middle
60s to around 70 degrees in the afternoon.

On Sunday high pressure will be building across the state and will
keep conditions dry and cool through Monday.
